These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the JORN mobile application and related services (the "Service") provided by JORN ("we", "us"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing or using JORN, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Use of the app
JORN is a tool to help you record working time, manage jobs and clients, view statistics and export reports. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for how you use it (including any reports you share with third parties).
3. Accounts
- You may need to create an account to use certain features (such as cross-device sync).
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscriptions and billing
JORN Pro is offered as a recurring subscription on a monthly or yearly basis. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Pricing displayed in the app prevails at the time of purchase and may change in the future, in which case you will be informed before any renewal at the new price.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
5. Free trial
A free trial may be offered to new subscribers. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the trial, the subscription will automatically convert into a paid subscription at the listed price.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your store settings (Apple App Store or Google Play). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by the corresponding store under their policies.
7. User data
You retain ownership of the data you enter in JORN. We process it to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping copies of data that is important to you, for example by using the export features.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems.
- Use the Service to harass, defraud or harm others, or to upload malicious or infringing content.
- Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service in a way not expressly permitted by us.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its name, logo, design and software, is owned by JORN and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
10. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, fully accurate or suitable for any specific purpose, including legal, payroll or tax compliance.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JORN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability and intellectual property) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which JORN is established, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, and subject to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
